Eduardo: Mother, today I'm going with you to the office.

Laura: It would be better for you yto stay home a few more days to rest.

Eduardo: No, no, no. Negative. No mam. I feel very, very well. Also I talked to the doctor and he told me that I could return to work without any problem. I, of course, must be careful. Don’t work too hard, do not pick up heavy things, or drive. But no problem, because Carlos (the driver), drives us, right?

Laura: First, we'll stop by the hospital to see your sister.

E: Yes, I am. Came to see how you are.
T: Eduardo, you know that I have you to thank every day for the rest of my life, which I hope will be very long. What you did for me ...
E: I just hope that the kidney works and everything goes well from now on.
T: It will.  I'll have to take medicine, I will have to be watched, but anything is better than being dependent on dialysis.

(In the operating room, the medial staff prepare Teresa and Eduardo for the transplant. Before they place the anesthesia mask on Eduardo, Teresa asks them to wait and says to her brother):

(Eduardo awakens from anesthesia after the surgery and his family is at his side to support him, but as usual, the mood is distant, almost "forced"... But Eduardo still tries to please his mother and be funny....)

At the hospital, after hearing the news that they are having trouble stabilizing Teresa, a desperate Laura asks the doctor if they can do the transplant now, since Eduardo's in good health and a match.  Eduardo appears troubled by her suggestion, but the doctor assures them that Teresa is not strong enough right now for surgery.  Later when they have moved to Teresa’s room to see her, Laura asks the doctor when they will be able to do the transplant. The doctor says they should be able to proceed with the surgery within a week. Eduardo tries to hide his nervousness, and says that they can schedule the date.

"Sol de Inverno" - Episode 24 Screencaps & Recap

Eduardo thanks Teresa for having accepted his invitation to have lunch together.  He says he did not say anything because he was scared and wanted first to learn more about the full process of donating a kidney.  If we are born with two kidneys, it is because they are needed, right? And what if he also gets sick later, who is going to give him a kidney if only she is compatible?  Or what if eventually he has a child and that child one day also needs a kidney? Teresa interrupts him, saying she understands and accepts all his reasons, all his doubts, but she doesn't understand why once he knew he was a match he didn't say anything, didn't even talk to her.  Eduardo is very embarrassed, and says it was indeed cowardly of him. But now he'll solve everything. They are family, so it's time to act like it.  He will give her his kidney.  He asks her to forgive him, tells her that everything will be fine, and asks her for a hug.
