Diogo on "Passadeira Vermelha"

(photos courtesy of Passadeira Vermelha/Facebook)

Right before the New Year, all the way back at the end of December of 2013, hee, Diogo was a guest on the new show, "Passadeira Vermelha" ("Red Carpet") which airs on the new entertainment-based network, SIC Caras.  This show is not posted online and was quite long, but our truly awesome friend Dina was kind enough to film some of the show off of her TV (LOL!) for us.  Thus, posted below are some highlights/clips from the show, along with the translations found beneath each video, again courtesy of Dina.

Diogo in "Share" magazine

Diogo graces the cover of "Share" magazine's most recent issue, where he is also interviewed. Wonderful, wonderful Dina kindly translated this interview for us, found right beneath the article.

(article courtesy of TV Record/Share Magazine)
Diogo Morgado
"Playing Jesus was the most intense experience of my life"
Seixal saw him grow up, but the happiest moments of his childhood were spent in Alentejo. Soon realized that acting would forever be a part of him. Does not allow personal exposure, to protect his family, and ensures that wherever he goes, he will always be Portuguese. At 33, Diogo Morgado believes he played "the role of his life" while portraying Jesus Christ, in the miniseries 'The Bible.' A professional "unrepeatable moment" and "painful" time that forever marked him.

Diogo named "Man of the Year" on "Fama Show"

Congratulations to Diogo, who was named "Homem do Ano" ("Man of the Year") on today's episode of "Fama Show."  An honor he rightly deserves, for sure!  :)

And our very own woman of the year Dina, hee, was kind enough to translate this quick but fun interviewfor us, which can be found right below the video.

Diogo on "Fama Show" - Man of The Year (courtesy of SIC/Fama Show)

Iva Lamarão/Host (IL) He is the Man of the Year, Diogo Morgado.....
IL: Named and considered Man of the Year. This year was great ...
DM: It was a good year ... was a very productive year, was a nice year.
IL: You left Portugal and gave yourself to the world, so to speak, with "The Bible" series. Tell us about that first moment.
DM: A project that we were not expecting to have as much exposure and to do so well, and that success was so great, and it is interesting to know that what we do and our passion for what we love to do, reaches so many people. It's strange, on one hand, but on the other hand is highly rewarding.
\IL: You were also invited to be with the famous Oprah.
DM: When the cameras are turned off, what I was able to feel, she (Oprah) is even better, more human even than what is recognized.
IL: You were also on the red carpet for the Emmy Awards.
DM: The entire ceremony, the entire event was spectacular, not only because "The Bible" was one of the nominees, but indeed it is a party that we hear and talk about every year, along with the Golden Globes and the Oscars. To actually be there at that time, was very special to me. It was very interesting.
IL: You were also named Man of the Year by GQ Magazine.
DM: Actually I was very excited when it happened. Internationally, for example, it is a very prestigious award. The first time that GQ (Portugal) gives this award, to have them choose me, was ... I have no words. It was really ... I was very happy.
IL: Congratulations.
DM: Thank you very much.
(And he gives a kiss to the camera.)
____________

Parabéns/congratulations, Diogo.  You are definitely our Man of the Year! And though it has big shoes to fill, I suspect 2014 is going to be an even better year!  Looking forward to it.  :)

Sol de Inverno_60º Episódio_21.11.2013. by mlubep

Laura arrives home with Margarida, and Andreia tells her that she has not heard from or been able to reach Eduardo since the previous day.  Laura and Andreia are seriously concerned because they remain unable to speak with Eduardo.  Laura still leaves another message on his cell phone but she soon decides to go to the library with the intention of contacting the hotel where Eduardo stayed in Mexico. There is no answer in his room.  Laura puts her detective on the case and asks him to find out what's up with Eduardo, since she has heard no news from her son in a long time.   When the detective calls her to say that the phone operator says that the phone number is not a working number, Laura panics and calls the embassy, asking for help to locate her son.

Teresa: I came home very tired, but I'm better. Did me good to rest a little.
Laura: You managed to do more in the short time you were at the office today, than what your brother did the entire time he replaced you.
Teresa: Mother, I actually wanted to talk to you about Eduardo. It upsets me to see him down there ... He has almost nothing to do ...
Laura: (conniving) I wanted to scare him ... I'll give him back the responsibilities he had.
Teresa: Good.
Laura: But before that he'll have to prove that he deserves to go back to the position he had.
Teresa: It may be that Andreia's return will change him.
Laura: I hope so. And I hope they are even committed to making their marriage work.
