Recap of "Sol de Inverno" Episodes

Because of all the "Son of God" exciting press and posts, I have neglected posting the last couple of weeks' episodes of "Sol de Inverno."  I apologize, real life just took over!  But our wonderful friend Dina has sent us a recap of what we missed to help catch us up, (and I will be resume posting the episodes/translations tomorrow, again, thanks to Dina!)  So here's is what has been happening to "Eduardo" and the characters in his life, and thanks again for your patience and understanding!

Summary of "Sol de Inverno" Episodes 124-132 

Laura:
To get revenge on Andreia for what she thinks she did to Margarida, Laura spreads the news in the media that Andreia had been in rehab, to ruin her image.  Although Sofia has propose peace / a truce, when Sofia is about to launch her new collection, Laura schemes and all the shoes in the collection are burned. 

Eduardo:
Eduardo continues to hide the fact that he was the one who posted the video of his sister on the internet. Only Thais knows the truth. Eduardo always rejects Andreia's attempts to speak with him, and when he cannot escape her, he is very mean to her, saying he has no intention of ever returning to her.  He t akes Thais to know Boheme, which leaves Benedita very sad, although he was friendly with her. 

Simão:
Simão and his parter Nuno adopted a little girl named Camila. 

Salvador:
After learning that his ex-wife was dating his best friend, he decided to bid farewell to the company he worked for and to open up a surf school, in a partnership with Tomás. 

Andreia:
Manages to convince Margarida and Teresa that she was not the who published Margarida's sex tape on the internet.   Continues to have serious financial problems, with no money to pay her most basic expenses.  So she makes several attempts to talk to Eduardo, hoping to win him back again.  She goes to the house claiming to have things to return to to Eduardo to try to talk to him and seduce him, but he rejects her completely.  She then tries to turn Thais against Eduardo.  She's injured by Thais, in the face, with a knife. 

Thais:
Thais egins to show signs that all is not well between her and Eduardo. She sees Andreia for the first time when she comes to the house to talk to Margarida, and is not happy.  Andreia asks her to go to her house to talk, but she rejects all of Andreia's words and attempts to turn her against Eduardo. Thais becomes  jealous and causes a scene to Eduardo when she finds the bag that Andreia had brought to the house with pictures of the two of them from when they were married. Eduardo manages to calm her down but she still thinks she has to stop Andreia.  When she hears Teresa say that she'll be meeting with Andreia at night at the Beach Bar, she decides to go there without Eduardo knowing. Without Andreia noticing, she comes up on her, and attacks her in the face with a knife.  The next day she tells Eduardo what she did, and he thinks she overreacted, that there was no need to injure Andreia's face.

Wow.  Can't wait to see what happens next!  

Speaking of seeing, if you haven't already, run to the theaters and see "Son of God!"  Congratulations to Diogo and all involved with the film on its huge success!  Much deserved!  Do not miss Diogo on the big screen in his AMAZING portrayal of "Jesus."  He is beyond incredible in the film!  So proud of him!

"Sol de Inverno" - Episode 85 translation & a Quick Recap

He's baa-ack.  Well, almost.  :)  "Laura" got a phone call from "Eduardo's" cell phone, and now, the family wonders.... could Eduardo be alive?  Where is he if so and why hasn't he contacted them?  But before we get to that phone call, let's take a look at what has been happening on "Sol de Inverno" since we last saw poor Eduardo, which believe it or not was November 21st.  Admit it, you've missed him.  :)

"Sol de Inverno" - Episode 60 Recap

(Note: "Eduardo" isn't in this or the next few episodes, so there are no screencaps, but here's a quick recap of what his family is doing/saying about Eduardo's disappearance in Mexico, just to keep you in the loop until he returns, if he returns, hee.)

Laura arrives home with Margarida, and Andreia tells her that she has not heard from or been able to reach Eduardo since the previous day.  Laura and Andreia are seriously concerned because they remain unable to speak with Eduardo.  Laura still leaves another message on his cell phone but she soon decides to go to the library with the intention of contacting the hotel where Eduardo stayed in Mexico. There is no answer in his room.  Laura puts her detective on the case and asks him to find out what's up with Eduardo, since she has heard no news from her son in a long time.   When the detective calls her to say that the phone operator says that the phone number is not a working number, Laura panics and calls the embassy, asking for help to locate her son.

Teresa and Laura are in shock because Eduardo has just told them that he is not compatible with her sister and therefore can not give her one of his kidneys. Feeding his lie even further, Eduardo pushes Teresa to accept their mother's idea to resorting to get her name moved up quickly on the transplant list, but the sister says that does not want to move ahead of other patients.  Laura says that if necessary, they will move abroad for surgery out the country, and tries to cheer her daughter by suggesting they go check on the new collection of shoes.  But Teresa is too depressed and just wants to go home.  Eduardo take a deep breath when they leave, but he is visibly nervous.

"Sol de Inverno" Episode 17 Photos & Recap

Eduardo is questioned by police and denies having beaten Andreia, assuring them that they just shouted at each other, one of the many arguments that they have had recently.  One of the officers laughs when he explains that his wife drank and fell in the bathroom, and that's what caused the injuries that are visible on her body. After the questioning, the cops leave, but warn that they will want to hear all the other people who live with them at home. Eduardo is panicked, not knowing what to do.

"Sol de Inverno" - Episode 16 Screencaps & Recap

Andreia begs Eduardo to stop hitting her but he is so out of control that he cannot hear her. Outside their room, Teresa tells Laura that they should go see what's going on, but her mother says that it is better not to meddle. Teresa refuses to listen to her mother, and goes to Eduardo's room.  When her brother opens the door and says that everything is fine she does not believe him, and forces her way in. Seeing her sister in law bleeding, she demands Eduardo leave the room, wondering how could he have done such a horrid thing. Andreia vents that her husband is a beast and Teresa begins to help her.  Teresa and Margarida are at Andreia's bedside, comforting her after the beating Eduardo gave her.  Teresa says she'll confront her brother, while Margarida vents that that situation is deplorable.

Later in the library, Laura scolds Eduardo for beating his wife. He still tries to justify his actions, and says he will spend the night at a hotel.  Laura not only forbids Eduardo from leaving, but she deamands he go apologize to his wife, as she does not want this to ever happen in her home again.  She says he can sleep in the guest room, if he is not able to speak with his wife tonight.  As usual, Eduardo cowardly obeys the orders of his mother.

Teresa goes to Andreia’s room to see how she is doing, and Andreia says for the first time that she does not want to stay married to Eduardo, after being beaten by him. Teresa is torn, but gives full support to the sister in law, and Andreia thanks her for taking her side.

Laura, despite the embarrassment and unease that it causes, is forced to use the shoes designed by Sofia before they were at odds, to fill the gap caused by taking the new shoe collection off the market. Eduardo tries to insist that Salvador did not choose the best option when he decided it was best to withdraw from the leather collection from the market, but Laura humiliates him by saying that since he does not have a better solution it is better for him not to comment at all.  Eduardo is further angered when his mother chooses Salvador to tell the staff and factory workers to inform them that they will have to work twenty four hours a day on the new shoes production, because the company is in an emergency situation.

Later at Boheme, Eduardo gets a visit from two police officers who notify him that his wife Andreia, has filed a complaint against him for domestic violence. Eduardo is surprised, and Benedita is shocked by what she is hearing.
