Diogo on the Making of "Frozen, O Reino do Gelo"

Diogo recently talked about being the voice of "Kristoff" and making the Portuguese version of Disney's latest animated film, "Frozen."  Dina was kind enough to translate Diogo's segments (which you can use fast forward to see) of this fun video for us, which can be found right below.

Diogo Morgado: "It's one of the great Disney classics”

DM: Hello everyone, I'm Diogo Morgado and I do the voice of Kristoff, in the new Disney animated movie "Frozen."
....
DM: Kristoff? I love Kristoff, this friendly, good-natured type, because he, to me, is a hero of the heart, because he is an almost accidental hero.
....
DM: And suddenly the land where he lives is covered in ice. Now, how does a guy who sells ice, do business in a land that is all frozen? It makes no sense.
....
DM: He understands, somehow, that the fact that the whole land is frozen has to do with Ana and he thinks "Wait. If I somehow help Ana, I might fix my problem”. So it ends up being something of interest to him.
....
DM: And then we realize, as Disney does so well, as they did for example in "Aladdin." Aladdin was a thief who stole fruit and other things, and we realize not to prejudge people... what they do, or whatever they have done... it does not mean how they appear is who they really are.
…..
DM: Kristoff has a relationship with his reindeer, who is his pet, named Sven. They have an interesting relationship because he speaks "for" Sven. He asks questions to Sven and responds, using a different voice. Something like, I asked you "So who is your favorite actor?" And he responds (making another voice as "Sven") "Oh yeah, Diogo Morgado," and I said (returning to his voice) "Really?" (putting his hands on his face) "I do not believe it." It is definitely something.  It always goes well. It is a relationship that in no way goes wrong.
....
DM: All parents, like me (and he points to himself), who are Disney fans like me (and he again points to himself), will love "Frozen," because it's another great Disney classic, like the "The Lion King," like "Aladdin," like "The Princess and the Frog".... the great classics.
....
DM: It's not just the entertainment that counts but also the spirit of family, self-help and this Christmas, all covered in ice ...
....
DM: There's always something to gain. So bring the family ...
....
DM: For what surely will be a great time.

Disney's "Frozen" is playing in theaters now, both in the US and in Portugal.
