Today, on the one week "birthday" of this blog, I wanted to introduce a new daily (hopefully) feature called "Clip of the Day" where we'll post a fun clip of Diogo you might not have seen before.
So our first "Clip of the Day" (in two parts) is from 2011, when Diogo appeared on the SIC TV's show "Boa Tarde" (Good Afternoon") for a segment called "Na Cozinha Com" ("In the Kitchen With.") Yes, it's in Portuguese, but you don't need to know the language to see Diogo has yet another talent -- he knows his way around a kitchen! :)

It's only been a week but I feel like I've known some of you forever. So thank you, and thanks to Diogo for bringing us all together.
PS Our very own Portuguese goddess @MsLiliana was kind enough to send us a translation of the recipe and clip! She says:
"Who knew, right? This is an entry made of mushroom, goat cheese, apple, meat and strawberry sweet. He says when he was 12 he made a dish with his dad - Bacahau com natas (codfish with cream - a Portuguese dish) and instead of salt he put sugar on the cream... so it didn't work at all! They talk about the novela Laços de Sangue (the TV show "Blood Ties") when Diogo Morgado spared a double to make the scene that he jumps from a cliff to the sea with a 12m high. All the show he is very funny and relaxed, calling himself "Chef Morgado." Almost in the end the presenter says the time is ending and he says: Oh Meu Deus - which means - Oh My God, because he wanted to make a fine presentation of the dish and needed time for that. He baptized the recipe as Mushrooms Emmy, due to the Emmy Prize Laços de Sangue won."
