"Excuse" - A Short Film by Diogo Morgado

"Excuse," the latest short film written and directed by Diogo Morgado, has premiered online!  The film, which stars Daniela Ruah ("NCIS: LA") and Alberto Frezza ("Born to Race: Fast Track") is the first English film directed and written by Diogo.  But, we definitely hope it is the first of MANY!

It is PHENOMENAL, right?  I don't want to spoil anything for those who may not have watched it yet, but the film is powerful.  Daniela and Alberto are amazing, and Diogo proves he is a masterful storyteller behind the camera, in ANY language.  Seriously, he is truly a director of extraordinary talent and I literally cannot wait to see where he goes next in his directing career.

Diogo Morgado to screen "Excuse" at Lisbon's The Famous Fest!

Incredible news for all you lucky people in Portugal!  It was just announced that "Excuse" will be shown at the upcoming The Famous Fest in Lisbon, AND as if that's not exciting enough, Diogo will be in attendence to present the short film!  Here's The Famous Fest's official press release about the screening:

Diogo's Interview in "Diário de Notícias" about "Excuse"

Rui Pedro Tendinha, the film critic for Portugal's Diário de Notícias (DN), recently interviewed Diogo after seeing (and clearly enjoying) his latest short film, "Excuse," which Diogo wrote and directed, and stars Daniela Ruah ("NCIS: LA") and Alberto Frezza ("Born to Race: Fast Track.")  Diogo discusses the film, as well as his true passion: storytelling.  The original Portuguese article is posted below, followed by the English translation, courtesy of the ever amazing, Dina.  Obrigada Dina!

Picture this...

Today's "Clip of the Day" is actually going to be several "Pictures of the Day."  Hope that's okay!  :)

Obviously, many of us here only started following Diogo on his Facebook page after we saw him in "The Bible," but he has been active on social media for some time prior to that.  So, I thought it might be cool to take a look at some of the pictures he shared with fans over the past year or so, when he was "known there" in Portugal, but not to us just yet.  :)  For our lovely friends in Portugal, I thought it might be nice for you to take a look back at the photos, or just in case you missed them.
