Salvador, furious, storms out of his mother's office and slams the door, surprising Eduardo and Benedita, who were flirting. Laura comes right behind Salvador and to try to talk him out of leaving the company. Says he is being unprofessional as he wants to abandon them at a time when the new shoe collection has just hit the stores. The son returns the accusation and underlines that she was too far determined on separating him from Matilda, to the point of leaving them homeless. Laura asks Benedita to leave them alone for a few minutes. She then urges Salvador not to leave Boheme, because they need him, especially now since Teresa is sick. Eduardo interrupts and says he is ready to take Salvador's place, causing his mother to become annoyed, and saying surely he has something he should be doing. Eduardo throws a furious look to his brother, who in turn acknowledges that he is only bothered by not being able to fulfill his promise to Teresa replace her. Laura plays another trump card, asking Salvador if he intends to live without money with his girlfriend. The question only serves to irritate Salvador more, who responds to her that they do not need her money for anything, and that they only way he and Matilde will have a peaceful life together is to be away from it all. Before leaving, Salvador turns to Eduardo and tells him to enjoy [taking his place.] Laura is devastated when her son Salvador turns his back on her and walks away.

Laura is grappling, still digesting the argument with Salvador. Eduardo tries to control the joy he feels, and strives to make sure that his mother forget that his brother exists, but she insists she hopes that he comes back.. Eduardo diverts the conversation and tells her that Sofia tried to enter the Boheme store to see the new collection. Laura hopes she saw what she once had and will never have again. And Laura surprises Eduardo by revealing what she had done to make Filipe Antunes, owner of Stiletto, not hire Sofia to work in his studio.
Later, Laura apologizes for arriving later than planned for dinner but Margarida says that everyone knows what happened. Eduardo assumes that she told them Salvador has resigned, and Teresa criticizes her mother for not controlling her hatred for Sofia, because now their brother can't be there celebrating with them the success of the new shoe collection. Laura thinks he will not be too long away from home but when Eduardo argues that his brother will not return, their mother ends the conversation.
Already at the table, Andreia begins another argument with Eduardo when she states has to control her pregnancy appetite and mentions again her modeling for the perfumes by Chiffon. Eduardo decides to confront his wife, decreeing that she is not going to work until after the delivery. Andreia replies that she does not take orders from him, and Laura prohibits the discussion to continue.
After a sleepless night, Laura joins the others for breakfast at a table that is full of worries. Eduardo asks Teresa if she want him to go with her to the hospital where her dialysis will take place. Laura says she will go with her, and asks Eduardo to contact the stores to see how the sales of the new collection of shoes are going. At that moment, Filipa (Andreia’s agent) enters the Aragão home, and after the usual greetings, she tells Andreia that Chiffon no longer wants her as a model for its advertising campaign because they knew that she is pregnant and therefore are afraid she will gain weight. Eduardo seems pleased, and Andreia becomes angry and yells at him at the table. Eduardo tries to play the victim, but Laura puts her son in his place, saying that Andrea may have many faults, but no one else would not have the patience that she has to put up with him. Later, Andreia cries in her room and Filipa tries to comfort her by saying that other campaigns will come along. Andreia responds that she can pretend to ignore Eduardo's nonsense, but the truth is, that with her age and now this pregnancy, the time she can work in her career is running out. Filipa is stunned when Andreia then asks for her help in getting abortion pills, as she has decided to abort the baby, in order to do the campaign for Chiffon.
