Laura gets worked up when Edward brings up going on a trip to Milan, justifying that they had a problem with Manel. But Laura chooses Teresa to go to the international fair as their representative, much to the displeasure of Eduardo who feels undervalued by them, and he had already told Andreia she would be accompanying him on the trip. Laura asks Salvador if he is leaving for London the next day and to stay on alert, and her son responds only that in he will only travel for work purposes. When the environment starts to go sour, Simão steps in and says he has something important to say, regretting not having done it before the father dies. Simão announces he's gay, provoking different reactions at the dinner table. Teresa and Salvador confess that they are not surprised, Margarida say Andreia they support him. But Eduardo goes against him and against his own wife, saying he suspected he was gay but never said anything. Eduardo says that if their dad were alive he would give him a few slaps. Salvador comes to Simão's defense, demanding Eduardo stop talking such nonsense. The conflict exacerbates and Eduardo shoots back to Salvador that he doesn't care because Simão is not their real brother. Laura tells everyone to shut up and tells Simão that she will accept his being gay, provided he behaves well in public and does not embarrass their family. Laura retreats to the office and Eduardo, angry, leaves the room, stating he won't tolerate his brother being in gay pride parades or other similar events. Andreia follows her husband and, embarrassed, says she will talk to him. Simão confesses that was not that the reaction he was expecting, as Salvador tries to comfort him.
Later at the office, Laura, irritated, complains to Eduardo that Manel doesn't answer and always leaves the office at 6pm even if there is still work to do. Eduardo leverages her displeasure to suggest to his mother that she replace the accountant, as he was against the bankruptcy of the company and always defended Sofia and Alvaro. Laura, with a cynical smile, tells Eduardo he may be right, as she wants to make sure her former partners are in hell.
At the end of the episode, Álvaro kills himself in front of his wife Sofia, by shooting himself in the head, after telling her he is sorry.
