When Sara met Diogo....

So yes, it's true, I did meet Diogo yesterday.  :)  And I mentioned to him I get a lot of e-mails, tweets and posts asking me about the bracelet he was wearing, as he wears it a lot in interviews, etc.... and he said, "what, this bracelet?" And that explains the above picture I took.  :)  The bracelet is just a cool bracelet.

And Diogo is just a cool guy.  As many of you know, I live in Los Angeles, so Diogo had contacted me and kindly offered that maybe we could meet next time he was in Los Angeles.  So we did while Diogo is Los Angeles to attend the Emmys tonight!

I would say that Diogo is everything I thought he would be, but that wouldn't be accurate or fair, because he was even more kind, more genuine, more humble, and more amazing than even I expected him to be.  What you see in his interviews is Diogo.  He is NOT Jesus, I think it is important to remember that, but he is Diogo, and he is awesome.

Diogo is so grateful for the blog, and so grateful for all the support you guys have given to him.  He is truly appreciative, as am I.  You guys are the best, and Diogo and I are both blessed that he has truly the greatest fans ever.

I started the blog because I saw Diogo's talent and humble personality and wanted to know more about him... I have thoroughly enjoyed getting to know more of his work, and more about him, and likewise, I truly enjoyed meeting him.  Just as I have enjoyed meeting so many of you here online, thanks to Diogo.  He is so good at bringing people together, from all over the world.  Obrigada, Diogo.

As we all know, Diogo is extremely busy, filming his series in Portugal, etc., but I did talk to him about doing some things on the blog when he has time.  So stay tuned.  :)

And don't forget to watch the Emmys tonight LIVE on CBS at 8pm ET, 7pm CT, and 5pm PT.  And here's hoping we may even see Diogo on the Red Carpet before!  I of course will do my best to keep you posted!

And seriously, thank you/obrigada to all of you... from Diogo, and from me.  You guys have made this blog such a joy and here's to many, many years of celebrating Diogo's amazing talent and future projects!

Now get ready for the Emmys and root for "The Bible!"

  4. I'm coming out of hiding in the background to say, Yahoooo!!! finally the "meet-and greet" has happened. I'm still convinced that you, Sara, have back ground ties to the "who's who" in the entertainment industry!!!
I'm happy to read that your meeting with Diogo showed he is real and true to himself and not someone who's floating way up there on "cloud # 9" because of their career choice. That's what makes him so unique, and people draw towards that uniqueness. A lot of people in the entertainment industry could learn from Diogo and how he response to his fans!!! I don't know if he actually visits and/or reads your blog, Sara, but I just hope he continues to stay real and true to himself, and does not get sucked into the "Hollywood" garbage that we all too often see on TV and the tabloids.
There, I've said my piece and now I'll go back to blending in with the flowers on the wallpaper. :o)
