Hi Diogo Morgado Fans! Liliana here! (@MsLiliana -- the Portuguese girl, Lol) It’s a pleasure to contribute to this awesome Blog! My big thank you to Sara for inviting me to do this "Throwback Thursday" I hope you all enjoy it!
Today's film features Diogo playing a gay character..... Say what??
Okay, keep calm, I’ll explain…
This film broke all box office records of Portuguese films in Portugal. It moves the setting from the book in the city of Leiria in 1875, to Lisbon in 2005, full of problems and socio-cultural marginalization.
Amaro (Jorge Corrula) is a young priest, fresh out of the seminary, who comes to Lisbon replace a deceased priest. The young Amaro knows Amelia (Soraia Chaves), a young sensual and seductive girl, which causes the priest feelings never before experienced. Amaro does everything to resist the temptation, but Amelia does not give up. Can a man of God overcome this carnal desire?
And where does Diogo fit in to all of this?

I couldn't find a link to the movie with subtitles, and due to the length of the movie, you will have to watch it on YouTube directly and not here on the site. But see below the movie link for the time marks of scenes where Diogo/"Libaninho" appears, along with the proper translation of his lines.
(Warning: the movie contains several sexual scenes between the Priest Amaro and Amelia that may upset some viewers…)

Alex: Baby…. There’s a new bird on the coast!!!
Libaninho: Ohhh sweet thing…such good thing… but wait… this sweet thing!? This is the new priest that comes to substitute that fat python….
Alex: I am going to start confessing everyday!!
Libaninho: Shut your mouth heretic! God punishes!!

Libaninho: (Enters) Awwww Nerita! Where is our Apollo’s priest??
(messes in drawers with Amaro’s clothes) - Ohhh my God! Awww how fashionable are these!!!
(Maria says: You’re going to give me trouble.)
Libaninho: Nooo… I knew it! I never get fooled about a man! He his no less of a man then the others! Aww and this one as good taste… Look at this! (messes with Amaro’s magazines) – Ohhhh I thought the priest was into fashion but not this much! Girls, look at this!!

Alex: Look at those crazy girls… I have to tell Amaro the priest not to pass at our door, or else no one works here! Libaninho!!!! Make more hair dye for Ms. Ana, please.
Libaninho: Awww my love, relax!
(Ana says it’s a waste that cute boy went to be a priest…)
Alex: He may have vocation, but waste is to make him fasting all his life! That is a waste!
(Ms. Ana says that are the church's rules.)
Alex: Aha the rules! Who invented them must have been impotent for shore!
Libaninho: Yes, yes… Ms. Ana, we all have our needs! I’ll tell you something... As I think, by the way things are coming… this priest is getting trouble in no time!
Alex: As the opportunity comes, you will see… He forgets everything he learned at the seminary. That day it will be noticed here at the neighborhood!
(Alex forgot Ms. Joaquina at the dryer… it smells like smoke…)
Libaninho: (talking to Alex) You are so dumb woman!
