Presentation & Launch Party for "Sol de Inverno"

Yesterday SIC had its official presentation and launch party for its upcoming series, "Sol de Inverno."  Diogo and his "Sol de Inverno" cast members were on hand to introduce their characters to the press/media, and afterwards, there was a party to celebrate the launch of the series, which debuts on Monday, September 16th.

At the presentation, Diogo said, "I'm very fond of my character, the role is completely different." Also according to SIC, Diogo only saw the first images of the series at the presentation yesterday.  And he praised his fellow cast members and the writers of the series: "This cast is very, very strong. The scripts already have a lot of quality and I think this cast puts the series on another level." (via Google translate, so any errors are mine.)

In "Sol de Inverno," Diogo plays "Eduardo," the oldest yet weakest son of "Laura."  "Eduardo" is married to "Andreia" (played by Cláudia Vieira), but their relationship has grown tired, and they have lost respect for each other.

Diogo was also interviewed very briefly at the "Sol de Inverno" launch party, and an awesome fan was kind enough to send us a translation of it, which can be found right below the clip.  Diogo appears at around the 2:40 mark.

Diogo (at 2:40): "Here we have a set of major players. With all due respect, they are renowned actors with lots of experience. And to have them spearheading our story is a privilege and extra valuable."

Oh and in other Diogo/"Sol de Inverno"-related news... Diogo shared a picture today of him with two of his series co-stars, Maria João Luis, who plays his mother, and Ângelo Rodrigues, who plays his brother on the series, along with the caption: "All good vibe... Sharing moments."  

And finally, SIC's entertainment news show, "E-Especial" will be talking to Diogo's "Sol de Inverno" co-stars Cláudia Vieira and Dânia Neto (who plays "Eduardo's" mistress in the series) on this week's show on Saturday... and though I don't think Diogo will be interviewed on this particular episode, they teased a scene from "Sol de Inverno" on their Facebook page that I thought I'd to share.  :)
