Eduardo accuses Sofia of going to the party to provoke his mother.

Salvador counters that she was invited and came with Lourenço, so it doesn’t mean that she’s there to cause trouble.

Andreia advises Eduardo and Salvador to prepare a whiskey to their mother, who need a drink.

Against her husband wishes, Andreia takes a drink.

Laura asks for a drink and hides the tension with Sofia.

Laura returns home with her family, carrying the award that she received.

Margarida says that they are all proud of her, and Eduardo says they should do something to scare Sofia.

Salvador says that idea is absurd and Andreia says her husband applies the same attitude to all his problems.

Eduardo tells her to go to bed saying she has drank too much, as usual.

Andreia stings back, and wonders why she ever married him, because she can’t think of the reason.

Laura ends with the discussion and orders them to go to bed.

Eduardo sees Andreia about to take a pill and he pulls it away from her hand when she tries to hide what she was doing.

The husband accuses her of taking diet pills, blaming it on the gay stylists with whom she works wanting to be that skinny.

Andreia calls him homophobic and even says that this is the way for him to hide his own homosexuality.

Eduardo threatens that if she were not pregnant …  and his wife turns to ask provocatively if he means he would make love to her or he would beat her, because recently, it's only been the second option.

Andreia pushes him farther, and asks if it's just her complaining about him in the bedroom, or if all his lovers feel the same.

Eduardo gets furious and says he’ll sleep in the other room.

Eduardo goes to the office and tells his secretary Benedita he has already booked a suite at the Ritz hotel for the night, suggesting that also dine there.  The secretary plays coy, asking him what he’ll tell his wife.  Eduardo responds that that is his problem to deal with, as he tries to kiss her.  Salvador almost catches them when he shows up is to know up to discuss the company and Eduardo pretends to agree that their mother has made the right choice in choosing Salvador as the company’s director.  Salvador finds his brother's words very suspicious.
